The studio looked at the Venice Beach neighborhood, taking into account significant future changes of transportation, population, climate, sea level rise, and more that will impact the coast of Los Angeles. The proposal of the project is to focus on environmental condition analysis and design solutions to connection between buildings and urban space. We worked collaboratively with Graduate Landscape Architecture students to develop urban interventions and designs that respond to the long-term effects of sea-level rise in the Venice Coastal Region.
