The LA School: More Than a Kindergarten

This design challenges a typical kindergarten by integrating four commercial units into a vocational curriculum of project-based learning. The coexistence of these two programs is designed to twist and slip into each other at three specified moments while breaking the preexisting datums of the shed's façade. The moments of slipping occur in both in plan and section to achieve choreographed visual and physical connections between the brands and the children themselves.
