Located next to the historic Hollyhock House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, at Barnsdall Park, the Los Angeles Outpatient Rehabilitation Center focuses on the importance of green spaces within the healing process. The clinic building is located along the axis of Barnsdall Park, making a connection with the park as well as being centralized on the site to emphasize its importance to the project. The other main programmatic elements—the education building, the exercise building, and the occupational and physical therapy building—are located in separate buildings around the site that allow the green spaces from Barnsdall Park to cascade down between the buildings and to Vermont Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
