Seeking Landscape Architecture students for research project/internship possibilities
    Miramonte Terrace
    Volunteer

    Job Description

We are a 1922 condominium complex in the heart of Koreatown, Los Angeles. One of the original buildings in the neighborhood, we sit on nearly one acre of land in the heart of one of Los Angeles most urban and historical streets. The property contains much green space, including the original palms, monsteras and bougineavillea. We are currently in need of landscaping plans and implementation to help us both maintain the original lush greenscaping, and also modernize it to accommodate lower water usage, and sustainability, without sacrificing the vintage look. We are looking for a student, or group of students, that might be able to use the property as a reasearch project/internship/portfolio building exercise. We are open to the possibilities, and there are many possible zones/projects in the building that need to be addressed (including what was in the original plans, a rooftop garden). Although we have listed the project as unpaid, we may have some budget to allot to the project. Additionally, I can provide professional photos of your work for your portfolio. If you have a love for Los Angeles vintage architecture, and are looking for a special, portfolio worthy project, this would be a great fit.
