    Job Description

I am looking to hire an architecture student who can develop two Sketch-up models of a proposed new house for the Bahamas (i.e., two floor plan options, both are single-story possibly with a mezzanine). Floor plans have been drawn in Adobe Illustrator (to scale) and probably need to be imported to AutoCad prior to import to Sketch-up (assumed). After initial development of the two Sketch-up models, one option will be selected followed by a series of design refinements. Other than extruding the floor plan (with furniture), development of the roof and interior ceilings (including exposed beams and rafters) will be required. This is an opportunity to have fun and make some money working on an interesting Bahamian-style home w/modern attributes. I am an experienced, Harvard-educated landscape architect with good design sensibilities but of course I am not trained as an architect. This is a personal project (my home), but it could lead to other business-related projects if interested. I assume compensation for the work (including initial development of the two models and design refinements) will be somewhere in the range of $4,000 to $8,000 depending on skills and the extent of involvement. (626) 864-0038 Thank you very much!
