Willa Seidenberg

Professor of Professional Practice, USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism

Willa Seidenberg is a journalist and a Professor of Professional Practice at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism where she teaches audio journalism. She is a graduate of Antioch College and her journalism background includes producing and reporting for public radio stations and writing and producing for local television news. 

She is the co-author of two or history/photo projects: A Matter of Conscience: GI Resistance During the Vietnam War and Memories of the American War: Stories From Viet Nam, which she produced with her husband, photographer William Short. 

During her 20 years at USC, Seidenberg founded Annenberg Radio News and Intersections South LA, a reporting lab and community website for South Los Angeles. 

Her love of history led her to the Heritage Conservation program where she is working toward an MA. She has taught a class on podcasting for heritage conservation topics.
