Taka Tachibe

Taka Tachibe is an architectural designer, researcher and educator based in Los Angeles. Prior

to joining the design faculty at USC, he worked in the offices of Katsuhiro Miyamoto &

Associates in Takarazuka and FreelandBuck in Los Angeles. He currently practices architecture

at Breland-Harper in Los Angeles, focusing on adaptive reuse projects.

He holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University, where he was awarded the

Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize for his graduate thesis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture

from UC Berkeley. His academic work has been published in Pidgin, Princeton University

School of Architecture publications, the Race & Podcast, and exhibited at the Lewis Center for

the Arts.
