Gesa Büttner Dias has over twenty years of experience in the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape and community centered design. She is principal and co-founder of büttnerreisdias. 

Before starting her own firm she worked with Gehry Partners, where she led the design and technical coordination of built projects such as the Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin, a pedestrian bridge in Menlo Park, and the UTS Business School in Sydney. Since 2019, she taught at USC School of Architecture, Calpoly Pomona, and Cornell University. 


In her professional and academic work Gesa pursues an inclusive architecture of well-being. In 2021 she co-organized a symposium with Cornell AAP and Community Coalition South LA on Activism and Neighborhood Preservation. 


Gesa earned her M.Arch at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in LA, and her B.Arch at the Technical University Berlin, Germany.

    Basic principles of structural (seismic/wind and gravity), HVAC, building envelope, access/egress, building service systems; and sustainable strategies are critical to the proper execution of performative goals. The integration of building systems will be delineated to demonstrate the tectonic viability a design solution.
