Victor Regnier discusses “The Future of Aging” in The Architect’s Newspaper

Mimi Zeiger interviewed Victor Regnier, Professor of Architecture and Gerontology, in a recent feature in The Architect’s Newspaper on how architecture can address issues of aging. Regnier discusses the growing elderly population and ways in which cities can support them. 

 

“Looking at healthy cities that support older people is the most positive thing we can do—to help people lead more independent lives in their own neighborhoods and communities. In doing so, we will keep people from going to institutions or choosing non-independent living arrangements.”
