08/30/24 ANNOUNCING FALL 2024 LECTURE SERIES
The Fall 24 Semester has started at the University of Southern California School of Architecture with an impressive lineup of lecturers.
USC Architecture hosts leading and emerging architects, designers, scholars and interdisciplinary thinkers from around the world who advance ideas and practice that drive the innovative culture of Architecture, Landscapes, Building Sciences and Conservation - at the school, in Los Angeles and beyond.
Renowned Danish designer Olafur Eliasson and Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) director Johanna Burton kick things off with a conversation on September 9, followed by Lorcan O'Herlihy presenting his latest book Building in Place on September 11 and Marlon Blackwell lectures about his firm’s Radical Practice on September 13.
Dean Brett Steele gives his State of the School address on September 27, followed by lectures from London-base architect Sadie Morgan (October 1); a presentation on Architectural Installations by Lisa Little (October 16); British architect Bea Martin lectures on Mechanic Assemblies (October 18); and Mexico City based architect Tatiana Bilbao on October 28; concluding the month with Eui-Sung Yi on October 30 presenting his new book M3.
November’s programming includes a presentation by Lawrence Scarpa (November 13) on his newest book Salty Urbanism; a lecture by Jesse Reiser (November 15); and Anupama Kundoo (November 22). The semester culminates with a symposium on the Getty Museum's PST Art exhibition, Material Acts.
