John Enright Assistant Professor

John Enright is a founding principal of Griffin Enright Architects, where he brings over 20 years of professional experience to a cutting edge practice. John practiced collaboratively for twelve years in the internationally renowned firm, Mophosis, in Santa Monica.  As one of two Associates in the firm led by Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne, he was responsible for project design, design direction, firm management, project management and project implementation and construction administration. His contributions were recognized internationally through numerous awards and publications. John continues to win recognition and awards for his work at Griffin Enright Architects, including the 2005 John Jerde Visiting Professorship at USC, the 26th Annual Interiors Award (2005), finalist for the MoMA/P.S. 1 Young Architects Competition (2004), as well as numerous AIA awards.  His work has been published widely locally, nationally and internationally in journals including Architectural Record, Architectural Digest, Progressive Architecture, Interior Design, LA Architect, Praxis, Metropolis, Contract and Architecture magazine. As a complement to his professional work, John has pursued architectural research through his teaching at USC, SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) and the University of Houston.  He is also active as a visiting critic and lecturer.  John has also recently been appointed as an advisory committee member for the national AIA’s Educator Practitioners Network (EPN).
