Jinhee Park, AIA Lectures March 29

Jinhee Park, AIA will lecture on “Micro-Urbanism” on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 6 pm in the Gin D. Wong, FAIA Conference Center at the USC School of Architecture.

 

 

Park is Principal at SsD, an architecture firm that approaches design as a convergent, interdisciplinary venture that aspires to bridge the utopian and the pragmatic. Along with being published in major media such as Metropolis Magazine, Dwell Magazine, Architectural Record, The New Yorker, and PBS, SsD has received many prestigious design awards including the AIA Young Architects Award, the Emerging Voices Award and the Young Architects Forum Award by the Architectural League of NY, an Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction Award, the Metropolis Next Generation Prize, and twelve AIA awards.

 

Park received a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a B.F.A. in Industrial Design from Seoul National University. Her work at SsD has been celebrated through numerous. Jinhee is currently Adjunct Professor at Columbia GSAPP and from 2009-13 she has served as Design Critic in Architecture at the Harvard GSD. Previous appointments include Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture CCNY in 2014, the Morgenstern Chair Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2008, and the Sasaki Distinguished Visiting Critic at the Boston Architectural College in 2007.

 

Lectures are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Parking is available on campus at Gate 1 off Exposition Blvd. ■
