Creating
Digital Archive of Student Work and Projects:
|
|
| For my
GRS project, I assisted Prof. Olvera with the digital documentation of the
first year undergraduate studio work. The courses such as Architecture 102-Fundamentals
of Design, and Architecture 105-Introduction to Visual Communication are
designed collectively by the first-year faculty to introduce and build spatial
and visual awareness through the completion of a series of two-dimensional
and three-dimensional projects. Through design and critical analysis, the
projects aid each student in the development of a design vocabulary and
the basic technical skills of drawing and model making. The research undertaken
to-date has focused on the electronic archiving of course material consisting
of drawings and models in a variety of formats for use in the development
of the School of Architecture website, course webpage(s) as well as future
accreditation needs. |
