My assignment was to research and find lesson plans or educational opportunities to be used to teach the built environment to grade school through high school students. The focus of my research was on preservation of historic structures, but anything that teaches an appreciation of the built environment is also captured.

This research was done mainly via websites. However, I was also researching trade journals and associations. The documentation I was collecting included web sources, hard copies of materials and reference material that are pertinent. The preponderance of the material collected to date was architectural in nature vs. purely preservation oriented. The lesson plans found to date are very interactive and informative, and at the same time entertaining to the students.
