Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies
This four year non-professional architectural studies degree program at the undergraduate level provides specialization in related fields and an alternative path to graduate studies in architecture and other design fields. Students accepted into the Professional Bachelor of Architecture Program  are eligible to elect this degree option at the end of the second year of study.

The first two years of the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies program consists of intense architectural studies and provides for a mix of architectural and general university studies throughout the program. The curriculum includes a core program in the first four semesters identical to the Bachelor of Architecture professional degree program. The second four semesters, provides the opportunity to explore many aspects of architecture and related fields and to develop individual strengths and interests. Students take a specialization course in the second year, which provides an introduction to related fields and alternative degree options. Students can elect to move into the four-year non-professional BS in AS program with a degree plan identifying electives fulfilling an area of concentration. The four-year program is concluded with a seminar with all degree candidates, allowing for collaborative work on areas of common interest.

All undergraduate degree applicants are required to submit a design portfolio to the School of Architecture as part of the admissions process.

This degree option is designed to support students that want to pursue alternatives to the professional architectural degree and provides a direct path to a masters degree in related fields.
