    Master of Architecture

    my picture The focus of the programs is on architecture in cities throughout the world where conditions of increasing density require design initiatives that support amenity, sustainability, and cultural meaning.

    There are two Master of Architecture degree programs available,  One is a post-professional degree for a candidate with a B. Arch. or equivalent. The other is a first professional degree program for those students who have a 4-year architectural studies undergraduate degree.  

    A dual Master of Architecture and Master of Planning degree program is also available to qualified students.

    Master of Building Science

    my picture Building Science and technology studies at USC recognize that exemplary buildings are based on responses to the human condition and to natural forces, requiring good judgement and knowledge for the creative use of architectural technology.

    Master of Historic Preservation

    my picture Because of its diversity of cultures and exciting architectural history Los Angeles presents students with an ideal laboratory in which to explore new approaches to historic preservation.

    Master of Landscape Architecture

    my picture The region and the city provide a natural laboratory for open space use. Urban development in the region increasingly includes not only design and construction on previously undeveloped sites but also redevelopment of already highly urbanized areas.

    A dual Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Planning degree program is available to qualified students.

    Certificate in Building Science

    my picture The Certificate in Building Science is intended as a supplementary credential for students enrolled in graduate course work in architecture, landscape architecture, historic preservation, urban planning or related disciplines, and also for practicing design and planning professionals with undergraduate or graduate degrees and related experience.

    Certificate in Historic Preservation

    my picture The Certificate in Historic Preservation is intended as a supplementary credential for students enrolled in graduate course work in architecture, landscape architecture, building science, urban planning or related disciplines, and also for practicing design and planning professionals with undergraduate or graduate degrees and related experience.

    Certificate in Landscape Architecture Studies

    my picture The Certificate in Landscape Architecture Studios is intended as a supplementary credential for students enrolled in graduate course work in architecture, historic preservation, building science, urban planning or related disciplines, and also for practicing design and planning professionals with undergraduate or graduate degrees and related experience.
