Dottie O'Carroll
Director of Development
The advancement office is responsible for major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations for endowment and capital, programmatic and scholarship priorities of the School of Architecture. The Director of Advancement is the liaison between the donors and the School. Ms. O'Carroll directed the recently completed $20 million Building on Excellence Campaign including the Partners in Preservation Campaign for The Gamble House/USC. She is currently engaged in capital and endowment funding for the Robert H. Timme Architectural Research Center for graduate programs in architecture, landscape architecture, building science and historic preservation. She was a contributor to the Handbook for Unit Development Officers published by CASE, the national fundraising professional organization. Prior to joining USC in l987, she was the program coordinator for the International Design Conference in Aspen, an editorial librarian for the Los Angeles Times and served in a public relations capacity for architecture firms MacAllister, Rinehart and Ring in Rancho Santa Fe, California, for Moshe Safdie and Associates in Boston and Bobrow/Thomas and Associates in Los Angeles.
